Oh HELLO! So ive recently gotten into this app that i found on my phone of like FAIL stuff. Haha Here are a few that I enjoyed...these save my life when im sitting through hours and hours of lectures! Haha heather and I were sitting at work and laughing really obnoxiously not attracting attention to ourselves!

Happy Hanukkah

Hola! I am getting pretty good at this since it is the holidays and all Im really trying to keep this thing going for Grandma and Grampa and all the rest of my family on the mainland! I miss you so much! Anywho I went to turbo kick today and had trouble well not really i was jsut lethargic because I gave blood the other day. Anywho Fernando came over and we cooked dinner! Syd and Heather you guys should have came :(. Oh I have the best pseudo brother in the world!

hy and I was a good fulll not like an OMG i need to work out tryptophan full. Haha like thanksgiving..

Before Fernandi lol left I asked him to put the top of my tree on because being that Mom and I are like 5'2" or as some may call "fun size" (im called that by many it sucks!), we had a hard time reaching. So we asked our tall jerk haha jk fernando, to do it for us! Hey thats what friends are for! See... I freaking had to stand on a stool that was like 2 feet and I still couldnt reach!!!

Well it is sunday...or monday according to my iphone..

and i am sadly still awake. I just finished slaving to a powerpoint presentation on smoking cessation. EWW. i hate cigarettes and anything that will destroy my health ahha. Anywho speaking of the above picture that was at Kokohead last year. Heather and I do that hike at least once a year haha. I know not much but hey at least we get a tan going up! :)

Lately I have had an obessession for making my room pretty well and my house too. Haha im such a grandma. Im getting old! On black friday I was getting excited over buying stuff for my house like towels, sheets, oh and shoes for myself. EEEK. haha Anyways so I put these three pictures on my wall!! Yay here are my loves :)

The First picture is of me and Fernando and Syd! Haha thanks to Heather who ditched me over thanksgiving break..I was kidnapped and adopted by Fernando and Syd! Man thinking about it I have known Fernando for like 9 years now! Sheesh. We can relate on our Cali Swag ;) and Syd, well I met him awhile ago too. The only person missin in this picture is Heather!

In the center of my heart, haha is my brother! This picture was from last year at the USAFA dorms right before his commissioning ceremony! Oh and thats TJ on my right!

And last but not least!!! drum roll please....my BESTIE! OH HELLER HEATHER! haha. Oh my life would be so boring without you! I was bored enough as it is when you left for thanksgiving. Sorry for leaving over summer I will never do that again! Haha...well if in case yalls didnt know thats the one thing we will thank our long lost exes for...INTRODUCING US! haha shes practically my sister and lives at my house when i dont live at hers. We like to wear blacked out shades to people watch and not even people watch guys but just stupidity and funny things around us haha no were not narcissistic or haters we just get it like that! We work in the same place and she doesnt know it yet but shes gonna be a nurse at the same hospital as me...military or civilian :) haha. LOVE YOU.

Today was the first day I gave blood! I have always wanted to give blood but I have always had a fear of needles. Since I work at Tripler where all the LTs let me stab them and where I have actually been stabbing people with IVs and needles all day I guess I have come to be fond of needles. I dont mind them anymore so today I decided to eat a large breakfast tank 32oz of water man up and donate blood. I wasnt even nervous surprisingly and my pint of blood came out in like 5 min! HAHA guess I am healthy. It didnt even hurt a bit.. I will be donating on the regular from now on! Calm down its jsut a bikini...

Until later friends and family...I gotta dress professional tomorrow and go to school early :( FML. I can pretty much call it a productive day though. I woke up and washed my car, waxed it, and detailed it! Then I took my mom to the craft fair and then I remembered I wanted to donate blood so I ate a heavy meal and went to Waikele and donated a pint :) Afterwards I met up with Fernando and did some homework at Coffee Bean at pearl city then heather came then Syd followed. Then I went to Walmart with heather and that was such a fail. Oh then i went home had dinner and cleaned and then did more work!

Hellllooo!

So the Holidays are here! My mom and I did our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner! I am so excited for Christmas! My brother Daniel is coming home and it will be the first time I get to see him since his graduation from the Air Force Academy in May 2010!!! Super excited! Hey bro, I can drive manual now!!! Let me drive your car! Send it home :)

Anywho, school is almost done and I seriously have SENIORITIS!! I get so lazy! I have been slothing it. I woke up at 11am today which is a first in like 4 years. Weekends are usually for waking up early and killing JIM. I actually missed my turbo kick class today :( because I couldnt wake up! Oh well haha...you know what that means...TWO A DAYS TONIGHT.

Been hanging with Fernando and Syd pretty much on the daily mobbing JIM. Poor JIM, he never gets a break (haha syd). Anywho on Thursday night my boyfriends...lol YUP...i said it...anyways these two kidnapped me from my house and took me to go shopping. We went to Waikele and then after that my mom didnt let me sleep we went to pearlridge and ala moana which is probably why i didnt wake up till 11am today. Anyways until next time :)....

Melanor and the Apple Store and my 21st birthday!

So my BFF Mel was in from California! Oh how I miss her sooo much. She just left today. But we went to breakfast today before she left and we went to the swap meet. BTW I am turning 21 soon and my parents bought me a ticket to go to California and from there Ryne bought me a ticket to go see him. So I get to see my baby again!! :) :) :) Anywho....enough mushy stuff....Ryne just moved into his apartment so I get to see it!! I am so excited. I bought a few surprises for him for his room and I might just raid one of the two rooms he has and make it mine. SHHH dont tell him. HAHA. Anyways back to mel!! On a couple days before she left I stayed over her house and we went to an event for the company 7 for all man kind or something like that. But before that we hung at the apple store and took wayyy too many pictures so here they are haha...

Adventures in California BABY

HELLLOOOOO everybody! So sorry that i have been very MIA. But I have plenty to talk about. So i have been in California for liek the longest time now and I have just been hanging out a lil bit.

For the first time the other day I went to race GO KARTS! omgomgomg SO MUCH FUN! Anywho....I was so nervous because I heard that these things go for like 40-50 mphs and omg I was thinking crap what if I am the slowest and what if i spin out and crash AHHH. I ended up having a crap ton of blast and I would do it every day if I could haha. Racing... quite possibly my new hobby. I WISH.

Number 1!!! THE BOYS HAD NOTHING ON ME I WAS THE TRUE CHAMP. hahahaha NOT.

This is Ryne. He graduated from the academy with my brother! They have sponsors who take care of them while they are at school so they have a place to hang and stuff but anyways this was his sponsor. VERY COOL MAN. He also raced with us and kicked people's bootays.

These were the cool looking helmets that we got to wear.

I also went to Disneyland and California Land. And coincidentally everyone was there that day. My long lost calabash cousin Alexa was there whom i seriosuly havent seen in like ten years so we got to hang out. Ryne, Alexa, and I went on the Tower of Terror one too many times.

This was before our death plunge on Splashmountain! HAHA funny story....we were sitting behind these Japanese tourists and then we had just got on the ride and Ryne splashed them and they had no idea where the water came from and they kept looking at the sky when it was a perfectly sunny day. hahah GOOD TIMES.

Not to mention that we have been so busy doing random things like buying Ryne's motorcycle, going to one of his friend's weddings, Six Flags, Ice Skating with my cousin, shopping tons, going to hang at a La Jolla mansion which was absolutely beautiful, amongst all other things.

But anywho it is really late here and I am really tired promise to post more later. MUAH. TALK SOON!

MEL AND MONTEREY!!

But anywho my best friend for life until I die and beyond surprised me and visited me in Monterey! WQe have been bffs (lol so retarded) since freshman year high school. She now lives in the bay area and i havent seen her in a year which is a long time because I usually see her every school break. But anywho she drove 1.5 hrs to pay a visit and we went out and about. I had sooo much fun and it reminds me so much of why she is my bff! HAHA. Anyways!!

Here we are in the car driving to see seals but then ended up on this scenic 17 mile drive that was GORGEOUS!

BTW this is mels ridiculously pretty car. I love the color.

This is by the lone tree. A trademark of this place. It is so beautiful it almost looks fake. Mel said it looks like it is from Avatar or something haha. NO PHOTOSHOP STRAIGHT SKILLS.

To top it all off my penguine love presented her love with a pebble! HAHAH JK NO HOMO. If you didnt know, the male penguine being mel hahahaaha JK finds the perfectest rock and presnets it to their love for partnership!

The beach was called pebble beach! It was spo pretty. The weather was just amazing with the preetiest blue skies. We were so blessed to have such a beautiful day! I told mel to throw up sand and the picture came out sooo well. I am the bes photgrapher ever! haha.

I bet you never knew that seaweed never looked so cool.

And of course I am always taking silly pictures! Reach for the sky :)

And of course all good things must come to and end :( So one more picture for the road!!

I have been having such a blast here in the mainland and I dont want it to end! I have many friends to visit and spend time with and luckily I will be here until July! So bring on the fun. Garden of the Gods

Aloha from Garden of the Gods in Colorado. It is so beautiful here. Of course it is a tradition for me to take some kind of jumping photo somewhere so here it is! I take one almost everywhere I go. haha.

At Garden of the Gods you can drive through and see all of the beautiful rock formations everywhere. Here is my Aunty Gina!

You can also park and take a stroll around. We stopped and found this adorable pug! The pug loved me haha. He was sooo cute and loved being pet. My dad unfortuantely cut me off to take a picture of the dog...HOW RUDE haha.

Look at this! We were so lucky to to catch the sun inbetween the rocks. I thought it made such a pretty picture. AMAZING!

So on May 26, my brother graduated from teh United States Airforce Academy!!! I was and am so proud of him!! My mom and I brought him leis. Anyways after graduation it is a tradition that they smoke a FAT and may i say FAT AND STINKY cigar!!

Before graduation they become commissioned from cadets to 2nd Lietenants! This is my brother and his girlfriend Kitiya and our friend Ryne.

This is at the graduation ceremony. It takes place in the stadium and we were literally sitting in the nosebleed section! You couldnt see squat! But thank god my dad had the best camera ever and I was luckily able to capture the most important moments.

I have been having a blast on my vacation. I have been hanging out with my family and my brother and his friends a ton! Luckily they are nice enought o pick me up so we can all hang and enjoy colorado together! Anywho I will post more pictures later about the rest of the trip. Talk soon :)

Adventures of Angela Maki Vernon and Dana!

Sooooo for the past coupl dys Angela and I have been filming/ photoshooting around hawaii. The first day we went to east side so kualoa ranch and this cool beach. Angela started off her day horseback riding while I was still sleeping at home haha. Anyways I met here there and then we were off to Kualoa beach. Swinging on trees and running in the water and what not.

We were being filmed so we had to look like we were aving a lot of fun. Geeze i hope they dont see the pimples on my face look how close the camera is.

IDK WHAT WITH THE AIRPLANE ARMS?

A couple days later we met at Waiolas! mmmm Yummy. We ate 2 shave ices and had to eat them all and got snacks like chocolate covered gummy bearsss OISHIIII and li hing mui mangos. Ahhh! heaven. My shave ice was strawberry and lychee with ice cream and mochi balls. Cn you say fat?! HAHA Angelas had mochi ice cream grean tea azuki beans and idk what else haha.

Then we went to Hawaii Kai to Stand Up Paddle in Maunalua Bay. IDK how to spell it. Haha so long story...The water was very murky and shallow and you couldnt see anything. All of a sudde Angela almost faceplants into her board but falls and catches herself so we busted out laughing while we were on film. Then!! I ate it 5 minutes later and got up and was laughin so hard that i just started paddling and at eit again because i didnt know my leash was stuck on the reef!! hahaha meanshiwle i was in the background stuggling and laughing while angela was talking ha.

We didnt coordinate our matching bikinis.

Ice Palace

A couple weeks ago I decided that I wanted to go ice skating because I was oh so inspired by the olympics! BAHAHAHA. not! Anywho I thought it would be fun to take some friends and go ice skating. As I thought that NO ONE would ever go ice skating, we ran into a couple of friends there. We were all wondering what the hell are you doing here?! haha. Anywho I went to ice palace with Geoff, Kylen and Cole Yamakawa, and Kaito Kino.

We also met up with Shaun and a couple of his friends. It was soo much fun. We only got to skate for an hour but it was really fun. I was kind of hoping that I would eat it once for fun but I never did =( oh well next time aha.

Happy Haleiwa, Surfing Kaikoos, Shave Ice, and making HATS!

About a month ago I did a photoshoot for Happy Haleiwa....

The day before yesterday Kylen Yamakawa, called Geoff and told him Cromwells was going off and it was empty. We decided to get away from the Kewalos crowd and surf some EMPTY diamondhead! NOT!!! When we got there the whole Kewalos paddled out! YIKESS!! To be honest I was kind of grumpy and bumming because I wanted to surf tome empty waves haha. Anyways it was really fun! We ended up leaving at around 7 o clock! It was hard to paddle in because we had to go though reef and rocks and I ended up stepping on a sea cucumber :( but it protected me from hitting reef! Haha thanks mr cucumber! Heres Geoff, Kylen and Cole and Kaito Kino.

Today my neighbor and I went to Aiea to get Shave Ice! MMM! Sooo yummy! I had a strawberry shave ice with Ice cream and Mochi balls ahhh soo yummy!

Oh and the other day I bought these blank trucker caps and did some art work and turned it into these!

I made this one too.

Geoff made this one....It doesnt look as bad as I thought...HAHAHA.

Waimea and Shave Ice

After we surfed yesterday...we ventured off to Waimea. The boys and I body surfed and actually i used Geoff as a bodyboard. But then after that the boys went to surf Pinballs. I wanted to take pictures.

It was kinda hard to take photos because I need to hange the shutter speed on my camera so a lot of times I would miss the best parts of the boys' waves. SORRY BOYS. Heres Kylen with a guy wanting to ruin his picture badly. The next picture would ave been so good but the guy completely got in the way. GRR.

Geoff ate it really badly. I didnt even know it was him til i zoomed in on the board. Kylen said his board tombstoned and Geoff said he hit the bottom. hahah.

But he redeemed himself.

Northshore with the Yamakawas!

Sometimes I really forget how beautiful and colorful Hawaii is. Yes I took this photo! and all the other photos here including the surfing ones. Click to enlarge!

Anywho so I woke up and the original plan for me today was to be photographer! But I decided to surf also because it was not too BIG. Today I surfed with Kylen and Cole Yamakawa and Geoff. Poor Cole had to sit in the trunk because he didnt want to squish seats with me hahaa.
Today was the first day I free surfed shortboarding in prob over a month! YIKES! Luckily I wasnt tooooo RUSTY. BAHAHA. These are the beautiful warm waters of....WAIT I PROMISED COLE I wouldnt tell anybody where this spot was...SCOUTS HONOR. :)

Anywho...any ideas where this is yet? ILL KEEP YOU GUESSING...

We surfed for about 2 and a half hours or so and the best part about it was that I wasnt even tired!! I was scared I didnt know how to shortboard anymore but I still remember haha. I caught some good empty waves today =p. Even got a private shower...

Oh yeah not to mention during this session...Geoff pulled into this barrel and hit reef pretty bad ahha but...and big BUTT. he got this sharp coral in his BUTT!! HAHA it looked like a dog nail!

Today was the longest day of my life! We did so much. So after we left that spot...yikes I almost told you where it was...I got this massive headache and we went to go eat at 711 musubis! YUM. cheap eats. and then we went to Waimea and cruised there for a couple hours. It was suppppper fun! We body surfed and i used the boys as bodyboards! Then the boys paddled out to Pinballs while I photo-d them like I promised I would today. Ill post more about those and plenty more pictures tomorrow.

Haleiwa International Open

On the 21st of December 2009, Jason Shibata held the Haleiwa International Open at, YOU GUESSED IT, Haleiwa! HAHA! The surf was 3-5 feet Hawaiian. To be honest I was FEARING! Because that was probably one of the bigger days I have gone out on my Longboard. Not to mention that I havent been surfing as much as I used to or would like to due to school obligations-Nursing..

Fearing but concentrating before I paddle out to my first round!

Anywhos, I went out to my first round and since I havent been surfing or I only have tiem to surf South Shore afterschool which is about 6 inches, it was kind of tough to adjust and jump from 6 nch surf to 3-5 feet!! I am not going to lie. HAHA. Anywho, so my first round I got speed wobbles it was kind of funny but what I caught luckily was enough to advance me to the next round with a 2nd place finish just barely making it.

That meant I had to surf another round...YIKES ahah I was honestly thinking I would only make one round but NOPE I advanced THANK GOD! haha. Best news everr!

The funny thing was as scared as I was I won my semis! What?!?! But yeah I told Geoff which is also the Rusty Team Manager that I was getting speed wobbles and was having a hard time turning and he gave me some adviced, listened to it and saw some good results! Thanks Geoff!! :)

Time to do Work! Final Round!

This allowed me to advance to the Finals! yesss! I took fourth in the Final, if only I caught one more wave....Well I can only go up from here cant wait til the next one!

The only bad news was I BUCKLED MY BOARD! MY FAVORITE BOARD =[ GUESS ITS TIME FOR A NEW ONE ON THE BRIGHT SIDE.

Bowls and Triple Crown

Okay so this weekend was way fun! I surfed at bowls on friday with my friend Colin. On Saturday I went to coach paddling practice at 8am! I was 10 minutes late freaking our Joy because she needed my help! The night before my friend Sepa said he would pick me up and then we would go t town together but then he had something to do last minute. I was late for practice because i never filled up my tank the night before haha. Anywho after that I met up with Sepa at Kaisers. He cruise in the lot while I surfed Bowls. It was going off! It was so good! I saw my boss Todd and Mits. The waves were super good. It was a fun 1- 2 1/2 perfect for my longboard. Shoulder high waves. After that Heather met us up and we went canoe surfing. AHH i could tell you about our adentures!

We never huli this time! BUT and a big BUT!! We were padling abck out and our canoe went 3-4 feet in the air and i slammed my knees on the canoe on impact and had a small bloody cut ouch!! BRUISES AND SCARS! What a day paddling, surfing, and canoe surfing i was definitely exhausted!

On Sunday, I spent the whole day with my family! I have been learning how to drive stick shift! It is sooo scary and fun! Sepa came to my house on Thursday on his way home and let me drive his Tacoma around my neighborhood. Luckily I never broke his truck lol. So today I drove to the North Shore!! I made it alive and well! HAHA. My dad wanted to check out the Triple Crown at Haleiwa

It was going off!! The waves were like a solid 4-5 feet. We caught the last three heats with lots of action! It was the round of 64s today. Tomorrow is supposed to get wayyy bigger. It should be exciting!

Circle Island Wednesday! :)

Today was a long journey and a half. Heather woke me up at 8 and then we were planning to go to the North Shore. My friend Sepa picked up Heather first and then came back and picked me up. We took Kunia road up to the NS. Then when we came down the hill we saw that all the waves were blown out ugly and mushy! Yikes. He wanted to check out V-land so we drove all the way aroun NS to find out that the conditions were the same everywhere! Ugh.

I filled up this little Cooler, slapped a Rusty Sticker on it and we were good to go!

Good side of the long journey was that we ended up at Romy's shrimp truck. MMM sooo good! Lately Ive been loving seafood! I think it was because I used to work at Sam Choy's but then again the only thing I ate there was their Mahimahi. Heather likes to go to Genki Sushi so mayeb thats how I learned how to eat seafood. Ha ha ha. Anyways so if you are ever in Kahuku go eat there sooooo Good! Omg I would drive all the way there just for that shrimp truck.

Oh by the way, I have yet to learn how to drive standard. Sepa taught Heather and I have yet to learn! Hes gonna teach me someday haha! She drove pretty smoothly! I tried taking a picture of her with China man's hat in the background but it didnt work. haha.

After that we ventured all the way aroudn the island past Kaneohe and thru Waimanalo to Sandy's side. Sepa stopped at Hermas and wanted to get wet for like 30 min so he did that. He took his Stand Up Paddle out. It looked fun but deadly. Id never Stand up out there.

Heather had to go to work so we went to drop her off at her house at Salt Lake. After that Sepa was going to drop me off at my house. He was supposed to go paddling with his Dad them but then he never answered. We made it all the way to Waikele and then he said wanna surf? Haha. OMG! Huge U-turn! We ventured all the way back to town!!! We ended up at Kaisers where we surfed for like an hour.

After that we ate at Genki Sushi at Waikele. We were gonna go Ala Moana but then we figured that we had a one man canoe, a SUP, longboard, and shortboard and we wouldnt be able to 30 and never woke up until now which is like 11!

Now I cant sleep!! But I will go and watch TV then most likely I will sleep like a baby! Haha okok talk soon! :)

OKOK SO TODAY I WENT SURFING...CANOE SURFING!!

Haha i feel so lucky. My friend Sepa took his cousin i think Riggs, Heather, and myself on this four man and we paddled out to Kaisers! OMG it was sooo much fun! I miss paddling so much.

Anywho meet Sepa! I totally stole this picture just to put it in here sorry Sepa I thought it ws worth my blog lol. Look how crazy he is!!!

I am super jealous of his pickup truck. Him and Heather have supe sick trucks. He has a tacoma 4 door. I need one of those for my longboards. Heather has a huge balck silverado. AHHH i really want one of those badly.

Anywho...So we paddled out to Kaisers on this four man and caught the bombs. I gotta admit i was scared at first but after awhile I trusted that Sepa wouldnt kill me!! HAHA. Thanks!! We caught some massive bombs for a canoe and we never died! It as a good 2-3 hawaiian and plenny of goodfun. Thought we were gonna run some bodyboarders over but glad they were smart and fast enough to move. =]. Anywho heather and riggs were talented enough to jump on the ama (outrigger) and surf it. I tried and let me tell you it was definitely not pretty. We hit a bump and i flew up and landed on my back on the rails of the canoe. FML it was so sore. I thought I was gonna fall out of the boat but thank God I held on for my life! I received a huge bruise to my back!! owww! I cant wait til we go again. Oh and not to mention the last wave in we huli-d (flipped over) hahahaha. Then because we had a forward momentum i hit heather and then landed on sepa. Haha thanks for breaking my fall! What a day what a a day!

After canoe surfing Sepa, Riggs, and I paddled out to Kaisers. There were plenny of perfect lefts! I caught some good waves longboarding today. I even got to standup paddle because Riggs wanted to borrow my board. The waves were so fun I saw a perfect left come so I tried to catch it but i missed then another one came behind it and i luckily caught it. There was no leash so it closed out and I didnt know what to do so I lost my board and it went all the way in...FML again!! haha. Riggs helped me tho. I was proud that i even caught it haha. Then i got hit in the head with riggs board. After a day of getting demolished by canoes and boards I called it a day!

Oh and this has nothing to do with Canoe surfing but everything to do with surfing. Meet Carissa! You have to know her if you surf and een if you dont. She is miss target haha. Anyways here she is! We had some of the most interesting and best convos the other day ya carissa? :)

So yeah school is still KILLING ME and Kicking my but but I am doin okay :) I really miss surfing Kewalos everyday though. Now I am working at hospitals, rehab centers, and even PRISONS!! Those were the best! I think there might be a possible consideration for nursing over there haha. Anywho here are a buncha photos!!

Wow Slackerrr. I should try and update this regularly but its beenreally hard. Nursing has taken a toll on me! I get to work in hospitals and it is so much fun. I have read 500+ pages since I have been in school! gassssp! Anywho as for surfing, I have not been surfing as much as I would liek to but I have been having a lot of fun when I do surf just because I cant surf as much as I did. A lot has changed over th past few weeks but I have been having a lot of fun. I have been hanging out with Alessa a lot lately. Here are a couple photos.

I know this is like 2 months too late but Geoff and I went to California about two months ago. Geoff went up because he was doing the ASP event at huntington and I went up for leisure! It was so much fun. Not to mention that the whole Hawaii was there because nationals was going on.

The first thing that Geoff wanted to eaqt was of course INN-N-OUT. a DOUBLE DOUBLE WITH ANIMAL STYLE FRIES. YIKES!

He had a couple days to practice before he went out to his contest.

After all the seriousness at the contests we got to visit the Rusty Factory! It was really nice. It looked like the fantqasy factory. There were skate ramps in the hallway a basketball court and a workout court. Not to mention sets for photoshoots. It was amazing. We also got to visit the shaping factory!!! It was really cool.I got to take a lot of pictures and here is the glassing room.

So a couple weeks ago Mel and her Sister and I went to cruise around northshore! It was prettyflat, not used to how I usually see it in the winter time when I can sneak out a session if it isnt too big or where I can watch the boys. We went to lanis, haleiwa, and ehukai. We had too much fun at ehukai. We burried Mel's feet into the sand and made her big foot.

China Uemura's Surfing Contest

Okay soooo theres a contest this weekend that's at Waikiki. There are individual divisions and team divisions! Geoff, Kapu Ping, Nelson Ahina, and Kapono Nahina are going to be on on team sposored by Uncle Brian's cmpany called Hawaiian Surfboard builders. I think that's the name. Anywho I was sooo jealous. I wished that I could surf ona team! I was scheming for the longest time. WHo could I use thats super good and has a name that could gve us a chance to make it to finals?? I know....one of my friends Sister (Kelia) Moniz!!! She is so graceful and such a great longboarder! So she said she was down to do it but we needed two more people we also had to see if she had any plans since she had family coming in from texas...She gave me the go las night so this morning I called Uncle China with the team! Okay so I am especially taking the time to make this blog haha. So much has happened in the past that I havent blogged. Hmm lets see for now I will talk about what is happening now and then I will go back to our California trip. Since I got back home from Cali I have been hanging out with my friend Mel alot! Weve been hiking treacherous moutains to taking her cousins boyfriend from Belgian surfing. In the process of teaching them, they rented Geoff and I a twelve foot longboard so we couldtanem surf. Mel's dad took some pictures....

So many times he pushed me off the board when the wave was done...what a sucker...

Doctor's Visit

Since I got into the nursing program at UH, I had to go to the doctors to get a physical and get blood drawn. I had to get a lot of blood out so that they could use it for several tests such as Hepatitis and blah blah blah. I went to the University Health Services. I had to pee in a cup haha gross and then I had to get my blood drawn. I am not afraid of needles anymore but before I went in, Geoff asked me, "are you sure you want to get it done here...what if its a student and they miss? Then they would have to poke you again?" I told him, "that never happened to me but if they miss then oh well they have to poke again.." So I went in and I walked in and it was a student, and I was like OH NO, before I had an actual doctor, I have a feeling that he is going to miss =[. LUCKY ME! HE MISSED!!!!! He was squirming around the needle in my arm it was so sore!!! So he told the doctor, 'I MISSED' The doctor came in and apologized and then he did it and I was done. It hurt a little bit after but I am okay now =]

Shiseido Commercial

Hello
So a long time ago I worked for Shiseido on this commercial! There were a bunch of girls. We shot for about a week and the pay was unbelievable! A couple of the days we went to Kualoa Ranch and had to bomb the hills! All the models were tripping on cow pies! EWWW! I tripped on a string of thorns! It was pretty dangerous running down hill really fast. Some people were holdng guitars and ukuleles. We were all dressed in bohemian stuff. It was pretty hilarious we were in fur boots and japanese clothes running down the hills super fast! They put it in slow motion but we were like sprinting down those hills! There was another commercial that we shot at Makua Beach and Secret Island by Kualoa Ranch! It was rediculously cold and they had to have these large heaters to keep all like 50 models warm. It was so cold and they had towels for us but they were the same towels throughout the whole day which were wet by the second time. We had to keep running in and out of the water and it was windy no sun and freezing. Anyways I will explain more about them later. Enjoy! You cant see anybody except for the Japanese Models faces but we were all there running in the background.

I have reappeared onto my blog! Haha school is officially out! This semester was really tough! I did really well considering the classes I was taking. Also..guess what guys...I GOT INTO NURSING SCHOOL AT UH MANOA! I am so stoked. you have no idea how hard i worked to get in! I am so happy for myself haha. I feel so lucky and honored to have been accepted.

As for summer I plan on relaxing! I have actually goten sleep over the past few days something I havent had in a really long time. School is hard but the grades I received were all worth it! I am excited for the future. Nursing school here i come! I ownt have a life for a couple years but it will all be worth it in the end.

Surf into Summer at Bowls is this week I cant wait! I am finally getting used to my new board and I must say it is magical hehe. I love it. I love the colors. I love it!

Kewalos with Kaz again!

This was another session with Kaz and Geoff. Kaz took these photos. The waves were super fun. When we first paddled out the sky was so beautiful. I never noticed how pretty it was. I must take Hawaii forgranted. I would have never known how pretty it was if I hadnt looked back at these photos.

It took us about 10 minutes before we convinced ourselves to surf in that frigid water!

Geoff was stalking Kaz... i swear he went left when kaz was on the lefts and went right when Kaz was on the rights. He must love paparazzi! haha =]

Here I am. I just got this board and it definitely takes some getting used to. It is hand shaped by Darren Tatsuno. It is a swallow tail 5'8" compared to my fat squash 5'8".

Sooo...Kaz and I were on the inside. It was starting to get dark. I just caught a wave and I was going to catch one last wave....then suddenly....a 15 set 2-3 foot waves started rolling in! Kaz and I were stuck...so he decided to waste all his photos on my duckdiving...HAHA. omgosh it was tiring but so funny. we were just cracking up the whole time! I will post those on the next blog...

Geoff and Derek are in Ventura for this weekend. Geoff is competing in the ASP Longboard Qualifying Series which is taking place in Ventura. He is staying with family in Santa Barbara. Today he surfed two heats and scored very high against the locals. Congratulations Geoff. I have not really spoken to him about it. He is too busy concentrating which is great. On another NOTE

Today I had work at Sam Choys and then I headed down to Sandys for Heather's birthday. I had fun just cruising on the beach for once and not surfing. But of course I had to surf. I ended up going to Kewalos with Kaz and Sister. Sister and I had a fun afternoon. We decided to lay out on the grass and just relax. So we did for like 10 minutes. We were just talking and then all of a sudden the sprinklers turned on and we started screaming haha. It was so classic. So much for resting. Then we decided to go to Jamba juice so i drove us across the street. We surfed til it was super dark. Kaz was shooting. It was really fun tonight! Sis and I split some of the best waves of the afternoons and uncle out there was letting us drop in on him so we could catch some waves! ahah thanks uncle. We were gonna watch a movie but then we got too tired. I had to study anyways. Anyways I will be praying for Geoff tomorrow as I have been. Tomorrow is just a day of books books and more books! YIKES!

A new video!

Haha so i havent gotten to make a new video in a really long time. This one isnt that great but you have to cut me some slack because I am doing this on my spare time that I hardly have! haha.

On the other hand I had a contest at Makaha two weeks ago. I luckily scored some tiny waves! It was a lot of fun. For longboard I didnt make it to finals. But i sure did learn not to sit where I did for my next event which was shortboard. I sat mroe inside and eded up scoring some nice tiny waves just enough to let me get 1st luckily. I luckily caught a wave that let me score well a couple seconds before the horn.

Last week there was a contest at Kakaako. I got there at 8 am and founf out i didnt surf til 12! I was so bummed because I woke up so early. SInce I had a lot of time to spare I decided to drive next door to Kewalos. I snuck in a session and headed back out to straightouts. MY HEAT ALREADY WENT OUT WITHOUT ME! haha they ran early. I jumped out in the water and my heat started! YIKES! I luckily ended up still getting third.

I then had 3 horus to go til shortboard. My mom and I decided to drive over to Wahoos for some lunch! I came back to Kakaako and found three missed calls and a text from KAZ! crap! my heat went out without me again! I got there ran up the massive hill and thn ran down and people wre laughing because i was late again! HAHA. o gosh. Then...As i got my jersey my heat started! I ran as fast as i could and paddled out as fast as I could already 3-4 minutes into the heat and I managed to catch the first wave! How lucky was I?! I somehow snuck away with lucky waves again and ended up taking 1st! What a weekend. I will never leave a contest site again! I will pack peanut butter and jelly sandwiches next time!

Hey everybody!
Today I got my first Rusty Box! It was sooo exciting! My mom called me and told me that my box had arrived. I have been waiting for it for awhile now! But it finally came and I was so happy!

They have really cool and really bright stuff. I love it! Here are a few of the things that were sent to me!

We have also been getting stuff from the Hawaii rep. He has been taking care of us really well. Dealing with our non-stop bugging! Haha. If you read this Ernie thanks for everything!!

A couple weeks ago..Derek Geoff and I received the loads of slippers from Cobian footwear. The girls stuff looks really cool. Geoff also got these slippers that are made out of traction pad! how cool is that?! I wish the ones for girls were available!

On another note...RLM came for about a month but left a little bit ago. They were showing Geoff and I their new line. Its pretty cool! For girls...they make wetsuits with rhinestones! haha i know its weird but I am a huge fan of crystals! so I was enthralled with this wetsuit hopefully I will have one one day! Look they also put your initial on the wetsuit along with the custom fits. i LOVE THEIR WETSUITS! THEY ARE SUPER GOOD and it just feels like an extra layer of skin! so comfortable!

Happy 21st Birthday Geoff!

So on March 2 was Geoff's 21st Birthday! I wanted to suprise him with tickets to one of his favorite artists which is Lil Wayne....buttt he found out that he was coming to Hawaii two days before his birthday and he told me that he wanted to buy tickets and that he was going to stand in line....so i told him that I actually got them for him already. If only he would wait =[ Anyways he came over to my house on the eve of his birthday and Ziggy, my PUPPY dressed up and suprised him along with my 21 cupcakes that I made for his Birthday.

Geoff's phone was broken so he didnt tell me that he had already left his house to come to my house. He pulled into my driveway and the cupcakes werent lit yet =[ So my dad and I had to rush and light the cakes. Unfortunately we were too in a hurry to think about how to light the cakes. We light the outside candles and when it came to lighting the inside ones...we burned our fingers hahaha.

THE RLM

THE RLM flew in from Japan in the beginning of February! They brought me Derek and Geoff our wetsuits! I got a black springsuit with pink stitching and a pink wetsuit top which is incredibly comfortable! I love them. It just feels like a flexible layer of skin! Its custom fit to everything and i mean everything my wrists neck hips and even bust! ha ha ha! We had a photoshoot on the northshore at the RLM house. It was really fast but it was cool.

Yesterday I surfed at Kewalos with Geoff and his friend Sean. It was super fun but really cold thank God for my wetsuit! We also played basketball and I luckily won and beat Derek Geoff and the self proclaimed Champion, Chad. It was really fun.

Kaz was out shooting yesterday and I got a few shots that I will post later if they are any good. I know that there will be some really funny ones.

Ehukai

So for the past couple weeks Geoff, Derek, and I have been surfing at Ehukai Beach Park at the Sandbars. Its been so much fun out there. I have been taking some pretty good beatings dragging my sand on the face when I eat it! HaHaHa! Anways I borrowed my Dad's camera and took videos of Geoff and Derek while I was watching my puppy Ziggy on the beach. Here is a video of Geoff on his last wave.

This day we were also surfing with Dayton Quizon which is Alessa's brother.

Geoff and Derek were coming in several times to rest but would always come in to take breaks and then go back out. In one of the breaks he kept fighting with Derek it was soooo funny!

and i have been doing some serious slacking on this blog...

i have been up to a lot lately

i ended up getting the shiseido commercial shoot...that was fun and rally cold! i unfortunately dont have any pictures but it was fun wearing super Pocahontas clothes. We all looked like hippies running down the hills of kualoa ranch! I was luckily able to take a friend to the shoot so one day i took heather and the other i took jenny. It was super fun!

I also got a new dog! It took me two weeks to name him but i ended up naming him ziggy! hes super cute and has green eyes! Hes so much wok to take care of tho its kind of really tiring!

Other than that a couple months ago heather and i hiked kokohead and i made a video so here it is! =]

Winter Break

Winterbreak is now over! It sucks really badly. My winterbreak wasnt very much of a winterbreak. Lots of stress and running around doing errands and working at Sam Choy's. For Christmas Geoff got me Ne-Yo concert tickets. It was such a good concert. Probably one of the best ones that we went to. While we were there i ran into Alyssa Lee. I see that girl everywhere I swear. It happened to be that she was sitting the row right across from us. how weird.

Also over break my best friend came home! Yay melanie! We surfed a lot together early morning with one of our good friend's Joy who was our paddling coach and friend. She picked us up and we ate breakfast early mornings. Shes back home now I miss her =[ In this picture i look sooo gross. But here I am with Mel Uncle Ben who lent me his Stand Up Paddle Boards and Joy. We had so much fun. The other day I got a call from Premier and they were asking me if I wanted to go to a casting for Shiseido makeup. They needed pictures so I had to do a shoot last minute. It was really hectic but here are a couple photos. There is a second casting/fitting on next week thursday so i have to see about that...
Over the break I spent quite some time with my family. I love when my brother comes home. We always get to do fun stuff like play Wii at night which sounds boring but my brother and I had a blast. We spent a lot of time on the north shore together. We took my dog timmy with us too! He liked it a lot. But one thing he hates is swimming. We took him to sharks cove which is probably illegal hahaha but i tried to get him to swim but he kept running awayWe also hiked kaena point. It was really long and to a certain point we had to stop because dogs werent allowed. Poor timmy. The state said he was a danger to the birds.

I have such a hard time keeping up with it especially during school time. School is out of session! Thnak God! I thought i was going to do soo bad on finals but i actually ended up doing really well! Thank God again! So i have been up to a lot lately! My brother came home for Thanksgiving. I had to work on Thanksgiving day..BOO! but and i say but...i got to eat the lovely buffet at Sam Choy's where i work. It was goooood. After that Geoff and Derek called and said that they were going to the skate park.

My brother and i met up with them.

Nelson Ahina was also there. It was interesting. At least i didnt eat it on my face. The boys were having a lot of fun.

Siince last blog...I also....GOT MY WISDOM TEETH OUT! I WAS SOOOO SCARED because everyone told me that it was going to hurt a lot. but it didnt hurt at all! My mom paid for me to get sedated THANKS MOM. i DIDNT WANT TO BE AWAKE while they were drilling away. I woke up and i couldnt see straight. I was cracking up because i was like this sucks i cant see he floor its spinning! When i got home i didnt even know that i still had heart monitors on check it out. I FELT LIKE A FOOL.

I had heart monitors ll over. And no i am not standing up peeing nor am i naked.

California Part 4

One of the nights we went to the mall. The moon was huge and red. I couldnt get a good picture of it so geoff and michelle and I took silly pictures. The moon looked so mall. Geoff wanted to take a picture of him holding the moon but it turned out really stupid. We saw it and started laughing. People were staring at us because we were taking weird picturesin the parking lot. Haha..
Michelle is like what the hell is she doing?

When we were at the mall we found this fast food place...HOW CORNY. oh not to mention there were elves on unicycles and elves juggling around the mall how weird. too bad i couldnt get a pictureWe had Hot dog on a stick! Gosh Geoff and I love their green lemonade its soooo good.The next day it was finally time to go home sadly. Time to pack up stuff and head to the airport. The last day was hectic. I woke up and picked Geoff up from Huntington. I was supposed to get up at 8 and pick him up at 830 but instead....my alarm never went up and Geoff called meat 830 wondering where i was! I was like oh snap im still at home. I got there at 9 to pick him up then we went to my place. After that we went to the themepark and stayed there til about 330. Then we went home and went to Trader Joes and the Mall all before 530! That was such a rush and last minute shopping.

When we flew home we flew first class!! YAY! It was sooo comfortable. We got a 3 course meal!

and Dessert the best part! Which was a sundae...it was so delicious

I won this from the themepark and he had a prime seat on the plane.oh yeah...i was sad because i couldnt watch josh's recital. He had a piano recital and he was soo cute all dressed up. This was before we left their house. I am so thankful that i have and had a place to stay.

California part 3

Okay so here is the best part of the blog

My cousin Josh, Geoff, and I went to Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park. Its the one that Paris Hilton went to if you watch My new BFF. haha Geoff. anyways yeah so we went to the themepark. and we had a blast! not to mention that there were asheds flying all over from the california fires and my eye was pussing because a bee had stung it the day before! Ouch! yuckkkie. Here is Geoff and Josh walking after a ride.

The first ride that we went to was a water ride. Geoff was kind of skeptical because it was like 11 am not really cold but he didnt want to get wet. My cousin being like 9 suckered Geoff into coming. Geoff being the only one that didnt want to get wet...GOT WET! AHHAHA. and not to mention he was the ONLY ONE that got soaked. Josh and I got sprinkled haha it was quite funny.We rode on a couple roller coasters and those were the best. This one was funny looking its supposed to be like a horse ride. But it was fun!

Then we went on bumper cars...

Then....we rode on this drop zone thing. It was so much fun. Geoff thought otherwise after the second time. The first time we went on i was like OH NO i forgot my camera! So we rode it again.

I took the video of Geoff when we dropped like 600 feet. It was hilarious here is the videoo..He hated me after. =]

Josh didnt want to go on the roller coasters. He held pour stuff whie he was waiting. What a nice kid. He was really patient and was just hanging out! After geoff and i gave him 40 dollars to buy toys or play games or do whatever he wanted.

He wanted to wear Goeff's stuff.

Geoff found another red lady bug! He kept trying to put it on me but i dont like bugs.

After the ride geoff was trying not to look sick. We jsut ate lunch and went on thisthing that spins in circles suuuper fast!

California Part 2

Continuing with Ragevol. We had a picnic under Huntington pier. Christy and John are the owners. They brought baby Teegan who is the most adorable thing ever. She had the cutest pigtails. They took a few pictures and video.

Here I am with Geoff. He was trunking it in 50 degree weather! and I had to borrow his wetsuit. Derek brought me one but i needed a fat wetsuit to keep me warm!

And here is Geoff surfing by the North end of the Pier. If you look closely that little black dot is me paddling out. haha
The fires were raging! Look hohw pretty it made the water above. But the skies were ugly. And not to mention I got stung in the eye...YES IN THE EYE by a bug so the ashes were horrible for my eye. Oh yeah! Thanks Jason for letting me use your board!!
My first meal in California was at midnight! My uncle took me to In and Out!!MMM. I had their delicious shakes with fries and a cheeseburger. Gosh i love those things sooo much.

Here are a couple more pictures of Geoff during his heat. He caught a wave and ran back to the other side to paddle out so he wouldnt have to fight the current. SMART.
While in Cali I met up with my best friend from 8th grade whom i havent seen in 6 years!! I was so excited i picked her up from UCLA. IT WAS SOOO FAR! but wayyy worth the drive!We didnt sleep til 3 am and had to wake up to watch Geoff at 7 am! that was harsh. Here we are hanging out at the pier. All good things unfortunately come to an end. Here we are in front of her dorm. Dropping her off. I miss her already!
I will continue this journal tomorrow. There is still wayyy more to go! =] and i have to get back to reality now and study for my huge test. WISH ME LUCK!

California Part 1

Guess what...
last minute i got to go to California! I was very lucky to be able to stay with my Uncle, Aunty, and cousin Josh. Wegot to do very cool things and a lot of things in such a short time! This is josh.

We left on thursday. Geoff's dad Uncle Keith was able to get me tickets. We got to fly first class...how cool is that! Thanks uncle keith!

We also flew with GEoff's family friend Len. Here they are walking to the terminal...

Unlucky me. Geoff made me sit in the middle between him and some other teenager Theyboth had their legs wide open leaving me no leg room =[I was staying 30 minutes away from huntington with my family while Geoff was staying at huntington with Len and his friend. They got to stay 3 streets down from the beach how lucky are they! Uncle Keith and Derek and their Cousin Jason and his friend Tanner were staying at a Hotel about 20 mintes away from Geoff.Len made friends with this domesticated Bobcat..Haha it had no tail. It was a bit freaky. This was by their house

We went to California because Geoff had to compete in this ASP World Tour Longboarding Event. Here it is at HUntington Beach at the South Side of the pier

This is the guy that took Geoff into his home. He is on the left his name is Mike i beleive he was a world champ at some point! The bottom picture is Geoff during his heat. He got a new board and I like it Very Much!! He got this the day before we left. I love the color scheme. Watch out geoff i might steal it when your are sleeping.After the contest we met one of our sponsors called Ragevol. They have cool T-shirts, they are very unique. They brought us a big box of stuff! It was very nice of them. They also brought us lik 7 two foot sandwiches that i must say were extremely delicious!! They took videos and pictures of us surfing including Derek. I will add more pictures later as for now it is getting late and I am still recovering from last night's flight!

This weekend was Kapu's (Ping) birthday. He turned 18 and had a gathering at Buca Di Beppo at ward. It was super fun. Afterwards we all went to Dave and Busters to play for a little bit!

At dinner...

Derek drank two cups of coke at the same time in a minute! It was sooo funny.. I didnt think that he could do it but he did. And all the carbonation made him cry! Not really it turned his eyes red and made him tear....

It was the funniest thing ever.
Then Zeke was dared to drink pepperoncini juice. It was pepper juice with fresh peppers in it! He actually did it and people gave him money for it

This is my friend Heather...we were supposed to meet up after eating but then we decided to go to Dave and Busters with everyone instead of watching a movie. I must say it was fun being a kid again. We got to shoot monsters and dinosaurs and kick guys butts at racing! Move over boys the girls are going to hunt you down!

This is the shooting game....we got into it haha it was scary.

Then we played racing games where heather and i beat all the boys it was hilariousThere was this game. Where these lights go around in a circle. And you have to jump when it gets to your feet like a large jumprope. I was laughint at heather because she lost on the first try. Then i tried and i jumped right on it! What a big loser i am. Here is Zeke playing the game. They got really into it!
And here is one of the other games we played. You had to choose a color for the ball to land on. If you get the color you get the tickets. It was super fun. heather and i kept losing tho =[

School and Surfing

Why hello everybody. I have once again disappeared from the blogging planet. School is only getting harder and im soo looking forward to christmas break. This week I had a test on 400 muscles plus like 5 thIngs to know about each and different kinds of other stuff related to muscles. I have been so stressed out lately and not to mention that I have met some WONDERFUL people lately. HA HA HA. It has been a long and stressful week. I have had 2 tests each week for the past month and a half now and this week is the first week I dont have a test. Thank God! I havent been surfing much lately but this week I finally got to surf. I have been longboarding a lot lately though wth my my good friend Eryn from High School. I am so glad we keep in touch shes such great friend! Thanks Eryn!

Looking back on some old stuff...

I am supposed to be getting another dog soon. Preferably a small puppy. I cant wait but now I have to think of a name got any ideas? Geoff wants a pug..I found this cool pug online. SPIDER PUG! haha. I wish I had a little dog to dress up. Not to mentin Timmy! my dog now he is the smartest cutest thing ive ever had!

MEET MY BROTHER! He is in the Air Force Academy. He is one tough trooper and im so jealous he knows how to fly! He is going to graduate next year! He comes home for Thanksgiving soon and I cant Wait! Hopefully we can have time to do some stupid stuff again like mini golf at midnight haha.

Random Things and Colorado!

This picture is reallly random but I found it on my computer it is when we all hiked Kokohead and wentinside the cave thingy! It was interesting and cool.

So this is really late but in September I went to Colorado for my birthday and to visit my brother! I did some crazy shopping, ate some realy yummy food, and best of all I got to hang out with my brother! The night before I left my brother and I went minigolfing at like 12 o clock at night. It was sooo much fun. He got a new car and it was really nice. Here is my mom and I with my brother's car!

Here is my brother! He is at the Air Force Academy in Colorado..what a trooper. He will be flying things like those eventually. He has already flown some really cool jets

Oakley Big Day Out!

So This Weekend Was the Oakley Big Day Out

It was so much fun to watch because all of my friends were in it! Geoff and his brother Derek. Aslo our friends Charvis and Vance were competing in the Shop Challenge. I was so happy because Geoff was the lucky winner. He was surfing so well it was quite impressive. Alessa and Missy were also in it and they took 1st and 2nd they killed it out there watch out boys!

Here is Me Geoff Zeke Lau and John Quizon! John was here all day watching his sister Alessa. What a good brother. Gosh I am the only one smiling! haha.

Why Hello Everybody. I havent updated this thing since summer! Anyways I have been really busy with school which is getting really really hard. I am taking Physiology and the Lab, Psychology, Anthropology, and Psychology. Physiology is so intense but interesting. I could name every bone in the body now! yay me haha. Anyways I got a new longboard so here is what it looks like....

This is Darren his boards are unreal! He shapes Geoff's boards and Derek's boards. He recentlymade Kaz a board. Kaz was so stoked. Here is Darren, his boards take time to make but they are so worth the wait they are reallllly good and I wouldnt ride anyone elses boards.

And last but not least, my mom and dad! They along with Geoff are at every contest that I have! One of my friends was teling me how lucky I was to have a big support group! Love you guys!

A broken finger and two contests.

Well well, I BROKE MY FINGER! The other day I was at my car when the trunk cloed on my finger and guess which finger i broke...yes the lucky MIDDLE FINGER!

I was really mad because I had just remembered that I had two contests this weekend! This year I am trying to enter longboard contests as well as shortboard. Anyways so I duck-taped my fingers together and it looked like I had a claw! How depressing. It was actually kind of funny but sort of challenging to get up on the board. Here are the finalists. My mom stayed with me all day and we were there from 9-3! what a long day.

In the morning the next day, I had a longboarding contest. I had to pick up my board from Geoff's house. He came out fresh from bed and looked like this

All of his hair was standing up. It would have been a good picture if he never pushed his hair down. When we went to Waikiki my mom saw this guy and said that it is Geoff's twin because he had big hair too. You can click on the picture to enlarge. I thought it was pretty funny.

Another Kewalo's Picnic!

So Jason and Tad left Oahu a couple of days ago. The Wong's decided to have a Barbeque the night before. My Mom and I, Geoff, Derek, Jason, Tad, their grandma Betty, Aunty Lynn and Uncle Keith were all at Kewalos! Here is my mom and Geoff's mom and I cut off Geoff's dad ha haha woops.

When we were eating Zeke dropped a piece of mochi and then chucked it at Geoff. Geoff came back and threw it on the back of Zeke's bald head. It was so funny, it made the funniest sound and then left a red mark.

When we were leaving Jason, Tad, Zeke and Derek got in the car and I heard someone yell and then I saw Jason grabbing a gecko on the window. This little fellow was friendly cruising on his hand.

Look at how beautiful Kewalos is. That day the sky was sooo pretty but Geoff was taking soo long to come in that by the time I got my camera it only looked like this.
This is kind of random but the other day Geoff and I went to Ernie Yagi's office, he is the rep for Cobain Slippers, XM accessories, Skul Candy, Angel and Anarchy Sunglasses and much more. We picked up some shades and slippers for Geoff's aunty and then lucky me I scored two leashes. One purple and one baby blue and like 3 super cute deck pads that are pink black and white. My favorite colors! Thanks Ernie! Geoff scored like 3 leashes and some cool traction so you dont have to use wax. Here is the brand of these accessories.

Look how good I am at updating my blog now!

Anyways the other day I met up with my best friend Mel! We went to high school together and are like super good friends. She goes to school on the mainland now. Well the other day I got off at 6 pm and then we headed down to the beach afterwards. Aunty Lynn and Uncle Keith, Geoff and Derek's parents had made dinner for us! How nice!

This picture is so funny because Derek brought Kaz's cooler...or rode it to the picnic tables ha ha ha.Yesterday at the spur of the moment I entered the HSP Steinlager Shaka Longboard Series at Bowls. I didnt do so well, I got 2nd out of 3rd. Hehe, but! and a big BUT! i was very fortunate because I got to surf Bowls with only three other girls for 15 minutes! Now how lucky am i? Anywho, I ordered a new longboard from Darren Tatsuno. I am so excited. It will be shaped like the Geoff Wong model! It will kind of look similar to this one. OH YEAH did I mention that this year I am going to enter longboard for HASA too? Wish me luck! This will be an interesting year!

It is a 9'0".Actually nevermind I do have a picture of his new board, Here it is...My board will be this same exact shape and same exact scheme except my board will be half pink and half orange. The girl GW model! That picture was taken of Geoff in Japan. This summer he traveled to Japan where he participated in the ASP World Longboard Tour.

Today I had a garage sale and i made like 160 dollars! Then I went surfing with Geoff, Derek, Jason and Tad and then I got dinner and went home. I fell asleep at like 530pm and woke up at 11 feeling all rested. But now I think I will go back to sleep or eat something first I am really hungry. I will update soon see you guys later!

Kokohead and China Walls

Hello Everybody! I am starting to update my blog regularly now.

The other day I was going to work out at 24 hour fitness when I got a call from Derek and Kaz annd Geoff and they wanted to hike Kokohead. I thought it would be a good workout so I decided to go along.

Here is a picture of all of us. From left to right is Derek Wong, his cousin Jason, Ezekiel Lau, Geoff Wong, myself, Jason's friend-Tod, Alyssa, and Kelia Moniz aka Sister. This picture was taken at the bottom of Kokohead. 600 something steps!

When we got to the top Geoff and I rested on top of a little shack and guess what we found. A RED ladybug. How often do you see those nowadays. You only see albino ones or black shiny ones.

After making it to the top, Derek showed us this cave-like thing. First you had to walk through a tunnel. There were no lights so we all had flashlights. You shouldnt walk in here unless you have 4+ people! Its scary. Look how dark it is inside you can't even see anything!Look at this picture it is priceless!! Zeke's face..ha ha ha
We survived and made it out to light!
Anyways here is a picture of Derek this is my favorite. I love the colors.It was super funny because Derek was talking about how he was going to run up the hill and smoke everybody! And Kaz was taking about how he didnt even want to hike Kokohead. Kaz doesnt even like to exercise! But!! He beat like everyone almost everyone up the hike! have the proof!

Geoff Zeke and I all started to head down the hill. All of a sudden we see sister running down super fast!

And if you have ever hiked Kokohead you would know its Dangerous to run. Later she told us she fell! poor sister!

Here is all of us debating whether or not to go to China Walls. Everybody wanted to go except for Zeke. But we all went anyways.

We were planning to go surfing and we were getting ready.

When we got there Derek was already in the water but this man was calling for help. His friend had fallen in the water. We were all unaware of how serious the situation was at first then we heard the man screaming and told people to call 911. Everybody was just standing around and Geoff and I were going to go in the water with our boards to help get the man out of the water but we saw no one calling so Geoff and I ran to find a phone. We dialed 911 and then came back. The man who fell in the water was with a friend. His friend slipped, fell, and hit his head. Tad went to help the guy who fell and ended upfalling himself. It was mass chaos. Then as Kaz, Derek, Geoff and two out of like 15 others were getting to pull the man out of the water Derek was trying to get on the rocks to help us. After he finally got up, he ran toward us to help us and he ended up slipping, falling, and cutting his feet. Then as we got the guy up to shore someone asked if anyone knew CPR and everyone again was just watching as if it were TV. I was heartbroken and I had realized that Geoff was just certified for CPR because he took a UH class on it. I told Geoff that I would give him chest compressions if he would blow in his mouth. Geoff and I quickly acted and kept him pumping until the paramedics showed up 15 minutes later. I was pumping and pumping his chest and the paramedics said that I was doing fine and they were checking for pulse and any sign of life. The victim had no pulse when we were not pumping. The paramedics asked me to keep pumping and I was wondering why they werent going to do it but then finally they took over after 1 minute. I give Geoff a lot of credit for blowing air in the guy's mouth. It was a very brave move. Anyways unfortunately the guy passed away at 1230. I am sad that he died, but we tried our best. I wish people woould help instead of standing around watching as if it were a movie. I was heartbroken to see how many people wouldnt help. I send my condolences out to this man, Alan Nakamatsu, and his family. I am sorry we couldnt save you, we tried our best and hope you are in a better place.

China's Longboarding Classic

This past weekend my boyfriend Geoff, his brother Derek, and I entered the China's Longboarding Classic Contest.

Here I am with Geoff. Acting all twisted and silly. I didnt have a pocket for my phone.

It was held in Waikiki. It was even more fun for Derek and I because we don't usually longboard or do longboarding contests. It was a weekend filled with fun! Lucky for us the Wong family and I were fortunate to stay under Darren Tatsuno's tent because it was scorching hot!

He shapes Geoff's, Derek's, and my surfboards, long and short. They work really well and are tailored to your needs! He had a tent to display the fins of the future from Japan called ratio fins! Carissa Moore and Kelia Moniz ride these fins. They are so cool you dont need to screw them in they have ball bearings that lock them in and they snap in and snap out...how cool is that? Dont ever have to worry about having a fin key.

In between our heats we were fortunate enough to borrow some boards from surf tech! We had a small photoshoot. It was so much fun. Derek and Kaz were on the stand-up paddle and I caught up with my longboard. We had too much fun messing around with Kaz's camera.
HereI am paddling out. Do you like my board? Geoff gave it to me. It is a nice white 9'0". It looks pink because i put pink wax on it! It works pretty well.

This was me when I was taking a shower. I was wearing Derek's hat and he told me to wash it so it doesn't stink. I thought it was cool because the water was just going around my face and made a good picture.

And here are the bigfeet markers. It is pretty funny. I thought this board was pretty hard to padde. But Derek makes it look super easy.

Hello Everybody.
I am really bad at updating this thing everyday like I said I would. Guess what I got today...A WEBCAM!! WEEE =] haha. im so excited it also lets you take pictures with those cool effects like the apple computers. Here are a few pictures.
I forget what these are called gosh i knew the name of it so well too.
A horror movie. haha. Ahhh i see my face and my closet.

Yesterday I went surfing with Geoff, Zeke, Derek, and Kaz. I was longboarding. I am going to enter the China's longboarding classic this weekend. Wish me luck since I barely know how to longboard! =]
Yesterday was super fun I love surfing with my friends. It never gets old. Zeke was being a bit of a butthead but its okay he only teases. Watch out Zeke before i wax your IfONE.

Today I longboarded again. It was a bit tricky for me because it was windy. I was getting a little frustrated because I need to learn how to adjust. But longboarding is always fun no matter what! A whole complete different sport than shortboarding. I felt so lucky to be able to surf some warm water waves in the beautiful weather!

What an exciting day today. Thats an understatement.

Today was a very interesting, busy, and fun-filled day.

...right Derek Geoff and Zeke!?

I went to work at UH today and found out I qualified for nationals a Huntingon Beach in August and I also have a photoshoot on friday. How exciting and then later I took Geoff to get his haircut. After that I went to work at EcoSystems at Ward Warehouse. I met the Butigroove guy, he was very very nice. After that we decided to go to Kewalos for a quick session. Geoff and I both got off at 6 today which gave us about an hour of surf. The waves were super fun! I was kind of scared at first because it was bumpy and not fun. But it was actually realy fun even though it looked like lumps of whitewater breaking everywhere! Of course Kaz took these pictures! He is great because he was sick but still went out to shoot all the kids!

Just about the only thing I can do..duckdive! Haha and i still suck at it!

Above is Derek Wong. Yeah he makes my pictures look like nothing. Because they are!

Here is me again about to turn. Yeah I still have lots to learn. I dont know how to hit it right in front of the camera like Derek and Geoff.

Yeah just need to do it a tad bit earlier and higher and it would be all good.

Yeah i need to learn how to do it like that! My boyfriend surfs better than your boyfriend!

Yeah here is Ezekiel Lau. He rips and I am not being sarcastic!! You have probably heard of him. You know the mean looking bald-headed kid that is sponsored by Volcom and surfs unreal. HA sorry Zeke everyone will see this picture. I bet you guys never knew he had a funky silly side to him.

Anyways....Zeke pranked me really well today. BUT DEREK GOT ME THE BEST! DONT WORRY DEREK THE PRANK WILL RETURN ON YOU! =] Today was the most embarassing moment of my life! Too embarassing to post here!

Hello Everybody! This is going to be my first blog. Kaz said we should all start a blog so that we can see what we all did each day and our perspectives of the day! So I took him up on his offer. Summer has been great and a couple days ago I watched my boyfriend compete in the Quiksilver shop challenge at Ala Moana Bowls. It was a beatiful day and I got spoiled by the water patrol man of the contest. Thanks Rocky! I was fortunate enough to be able to get rides around Ala Moana to a different surf spot since the contest was going on! Talk about being spoiled!

Driving the Jetski is Rocky the water patrol for the event, Kaz Sano my good friend and a great photographer and me. Rocky saw me paddling out so he drove over and asked if i wanted a ride. Spoiled me also got a ride back in with Kaz in this picture. THe second picture looks liek im posing but I am not! I was just wiping my face! It was a great day at the beach not o mention I was lucky enough to surf Rockpiles and Bowls rights with only three other people! We waited around and then the results were up and guess what Geoff's team won! His team consisted of Geoff himself, Dustin Cuizon, and two other Town and Country Employees.

Congratulations Geoff on your 1st place Team Shop Challenge and 2nd place Individual Winnings!
